N. Korean defector crosses DMZ into North, undetected for hours

<span>[embedded content]</span> <p>A North Korean defector has crossed the heavily armed border from South Korea into North Korea, the South Korean military said on Sunday.</p> <p>The official said they were currently working to identify the person and that it is unknown whether the person was still alive.</p>

South Korea sent a message to North Korea to ensure the safety of the defector, but so far the North has not responded.
