Actress and singer Im Yun-ah and actor Kim Sun-ho will be playing lead characters together in the upcoming film, “Two O’Clock Date,” (direct translation).
The film’s production company, Filmmaker R&K, whose action drama film, “Escape from Mogadishu,” was a box-office hit, announced Monday that the two actors have confirmed their roles and will begin shooting the film in March next year.
The romantic comedy film will be about two apartment neighbors ― a woman with a huge secret and a man who lives on a floor above her. The story will follow their romance that blossoms as they encounter each other every day.
The film will be directed by filmmaker Lee Sang-geun who wrote and helmed the hit comedy action flick “Exit,” which became the sixth highest-grossing movie in 2019. This will be the second movie for Im to work with director Lee since starring in “Exit.”
Im, who debuted as a member of the K-pop girl group, Girls’ Generation in 2007, began her acting career in the same year after landing a supporting role in the TV series “Two Outs in the Ninth Inning.” She has been starring in various TV series and films, including period romance series, “The King in Love” and action film, “Confidential Assignment.”
Kim debuted as a theater actor with a comedy play, “New Boeing Boeing,” in 2009. He played lead and supporting roles in various TV shows, including “Welcome to Waikiki 2” and “Catch the Ghost” before rising to stardom with his lead role in the tvN series “Start-Up” in 2020. He is currently starring in the rom-com series, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Ch,a” with actress Shin Min-ah.
