A special reunion of the popular U.S. sitcom, “Friends,” will also be available to watch in Korea through TV and the local over-the-top (OTT) platform, Wavve, this month.

The streaming service announced Tuesday that “‘Friends: The Reunion’ will be released exclusively among OTT platforms on June 26. A day prior to its release on Wavve, the show will be aired on the local network, Catch On.

“Friends: The Reunion,” which was initially released on May 27 through the streaming service HBO Max, is a special episode in which the original cast members get back together for the first time since “Friends” ended its 10-year run in 2004.

The reunion show garnered enormous attention, as it comes 17 years after the sitcom ended, and as it features guest appearances from big names like K-pop juggernaut BTS, as well as pop stars Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.

The show invites Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer from the original series and shows them revisiting key sets, playing trivia about the sitcom and having a sit-down interview with a live audience.

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman in 1994, “Friends” revolves around six friends living in Manhattan, who started out in their 20s, and follows their stories of navigating through work, life and love.

It earned huge popularity not only in the U.S but also globally, gaining a lot of fans in South Korea. BTS’s leader RM said in a previous interview that he learned English from watching “Friends.”
